Divining the music in Naas

NAAS, 19 March 2002: by Bill Trapman. A debut album from Naas group "Diviners" will be launched tomorrow night in the Riverbank Centre, Newbridge, in conjunction with the relaunch of the Kildare Community Network’s kildare.ie internet portal.

The band - members are Kevin McGing, Philip Scott and John Treacy have played extensively throughout Ireland over the last number of years in various outfits, so lack of experience of the Irish music scene, in all its guises, is not a problem!

Their forthcoming album, also titled "Diviners", comprises 10 original, soulful and incisive songs recorded at the band’s own studio in Naas.

The band will embark on a nationwide tour during April 2002 to promote their wares, and audiences to date know that a unique live energy is the bands leading trademark.

For up to date information on the band, gigs, lyrics and all things current, check out the site www.kildare.ie/diviners from later on this week. Contact the band at diviners@eircom.net
