| | The children in St. Evin's School were delighted to visit the "Live Crib" which came to our school for
a whole day on December 14th. The crib, which was set up in the school shed, consisted of an array of farm
animals including goats, sheep, a cow, a calf and a donkey. Mary and Joseph
characters stood beside a small "Baby Jesus", lying in a real manger.
All the classes had an opportunity to move around the crib, touch the animals
and experience what it must have felt like on that First Christmas night when
Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem. Having the Live Crib in the school
brought the real meaning of Christmas to the children in a truly memorable way. |
