Kildare Town went 1 up mid way through the first half when Jordan Murphy out paced the home defense to score from close range. The made it 2 nil soon after, when Niall Fleming  picked up the ball outside the home penalty area, beat two defenders and scored. Kilcock Celtic tried to respond early in the second half and Barry Hill went close with a long range effort.

Kildare Town third goal was a fine individual  effort by their left back Mark Byrne, who started the move on the half way line and finished it with a cracking shot from inside the Kilcock Celtic penalty area, Kildare Town  rounded off the scoring when Dean Conroy scored from close range after the Kilcock defense failed to clear .There was still time for one last effort from Kilcock Celtic with Barry Hill forcing a fine save from the Kildare Town goalkeeper, after been put through by a fine pass from Jordan Hamilton.
