Work in train for bridge parapet

NEWBRIDGE, 15 April 2002: by Brian Byrne. Work on the replacement bridge parapet in Newbridge is expected to begin in July, according to county engineer Jimmy Lynch.

Site investigation work by consulting engineers Roughan & O’Donovan was completed on 4 April and the preliminary design will be completed by the end of April. The Part X planning process will commence early next month.

The news has been welcomed by Progressive Democrat candidate in Kildare South, Senator John Dardis.
