Stagg moves against dump

CELBRIDGE, 24 April 2002: by Bill Trapman. Deputy Emmet Stagg has referred the dumping and burning of waste on the river bank at the Celbridge Mill to the Litter Warden Service.

He has done so on foot of a complaint received from a canoeist who uses the river on a regular basis.

"It is illegal to either dump waste in the way described or to burn it in the open air and I have asked the Litter Warden Service to enforce the law," he says.
